After Kotra Logistics acquired Transportbedrijf Van Maanen in 2006, the company extended its transport services to Portugal. We work closely with an established partner near Lisbon, mainly transporting meat and frozen products throughout Portugal.
From the Netherlands to Portugal
The goods arrive from all over the Netherlands in Yerseke, where we cross-dock and load them onto a car bound for Portugal. The final destination can be anywhere in Portugal, where we travel twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Service
We aim to unburden the customer from A to Z. Transport to Portugal is done by a small team of people who know their trade. As a result, we maintain short lines of communication and customers are serviced by the same people every time. Our drivers know the road like the back of their hand and provide excellent service and undivided attention to your transport. In Portugal, we use a distribution centre near Lisbon, where the goods are transported to other parts of the country.
Fast and efficient
Sometimes Kotra is compared to DHL. Whether it is fresh or frozen products, one box, a full pallet or a complete freight – it does not matter to us. We deliver your product throughout Portugal in our conditioned trucks. The trucks are equipped with a bi-temp refrigeration system, allowing both fresh and frozen products to be transported together.
