History

The history of Kotra Logistics starts in 2009 with a management buy-out of the complete Oosterbaan transport group by Erik de Koeijer. This is how Kotra Logistics BV came to exist. The name is a suggestion from a PTT employee at the time for the usual telex address. A special step for the company is the use of the freezer terminal (2014) with a capacity of 6,000 pallets: Kotra Coldstores Yerseke.

Fifth-generation transport family

Erik is the fifth generation who is active in the transport company. Erik's entrepreneurial streak proved to be sufficiently present to meet this major challenge and to continue the family tradition. Transport is embedded within the De Koeijers' DNA, particularly in the world of fish, crustaceans and shellfish; a world of which they have been a part of for over a hundred years.

Service leadership in the food chain

Kotra Logistics is growing into one of the largest logistics service providers in the Benelux for the transport and storage of fish, crustaceans and shellfish. The holding company consists of twenty private companies. Together, they strive for service leadership in the food chain in which not only transport plays a role, but also the services with which added value is realised.
